ذ—zāl—z

‘zal’ (ذ) is pronounced like a ‘z’ in English and is exactly the same shape as a ‘dal’ (د) except with a single dot above it.

In this video Keramat shows you how to write the letter in a Persian style of handwriting, with three examples of words showing the letter in different positions:

at the beginning, ذرت—zorat—corn
in the middle, غذا—ghazā—food
at the end, کاغذ—kāghaz—paper
