ض—zād—z
The Persian letter ‘zād’ (ض) is pronounced like an ‘z’ in English, exactly the same as the other Persian ‘z’ letters, ‘zāl’ (ذ) and ‘ze’ (ز) and ‘zā’ (ظ). It has exactly the same form as ‘sād’ (ص), but with a single dot above it.
In this video Keramat shows you how to write ‘zād’ (ض) in a Persian handwriting style, with three example words that show the letter in different positions:
at the beginning, ضد—zed—opposite
in the middle, فضا—fasā—space
at the end, مریض—mariz—ill, sick
