خ—khe—kh

The ninth letter of the Persian alphabet, ‘khe’ (خ) does not usually come up in standard English pronunciation, but is often written as a ‘kh’. It is, once again, exactly the base shape we see in the letters ‘jim’ (ج) and ‘che’ (چ) and ‘he’ (ح), except this time with one dot drawn above it.

In this video Keramat shows you how to write the letter in a Persian style of handwriting, with three examples of words showing the letter in different positions:

at the beginning, خواب—khāb—sleep
in the middle, نخل—nakhl—(date) palm
at the end, میخ—meekh—nail
