چ—che—ch

‘che’ (چ), the seventh letter of the Persian alphabet, has the same sound as the ‘ch’ at the beginning of ‘child’ in English. Its base shape is also the same as the Persian letter ‘jim’ (ج), except with three dots below the line/inside the loop. In this video Keramat shows you how to write the letter in a Persian style of handwriting, with three examples of words showing the letter in different positions:

at the beginning, چای—chāee—tea
in the middle, بچه—bache—child
at the end, سویچ—sveech—car keys (switch)
